In 2021, Miami Beach will commemorate the 156" Juneteenth Independence Day by hosting the second annual ceremony in Pride Park. In 2020, the City planted a Rainbow Eucalyptus tree to forever remember the day in 1865 that all enslaved black people learned they had been emancipated and to celebrate the contributions of Miami Beach's Black community and the influence of the Black community on Miami Beach.
