In yet another first for the Parks & Recreation Department, the City of Miami Beach
X-TREME cheerleading squad will travel to New York to represent our City in one of
America's premier cheerleading contests. The 15 girls and 2 boys who make up the Miami
Beach X-TREME with accompanying chaperones and staff will compete in the National
Cheerleading Association/National Dance Association (NCNNDA) Big Apple Classic March
12-14, 2004.
The trips costs more than "2-bits, 4-bits, 6-bits (or) a dollar." The cheerleaders will raise
the $9,000 cost through yard sales, car washes and donations.
Please join us in wishing the Miami Beach X-TREME a victorious and safe trip. We will
report their results to you immediately upon their return.
