Sustainability Committee Motion
Dear Mayor and Honorable City Commission,
The Sustainability Committee met on May 27, 2021 and passed the motion below:
• The Rules and Regulations for Beachfront Concession Operations were amended to
require that concessionaires and their operators switch to I 00% reusable wares by
October 2020. As the City ofMiami Beach lifts COVID-19 restrictions, the Sustainability
Committee urges increasing education and commencing enforcement of this amendment
to reduce single-use plastic consumption.
