SUBJECT: Pre-Election Test of the Automatic Tabulating Equipment (Logic and
Accuracy Test) and Canvassing Board Schedule
Pursuant to Florida Statutes §§101.5612(2) and 102.141, attached please find the time and
location of the public Pre-Election Test of the Automatic Tabulating Equipment (Logic and
Accuracy Test) and the Canvassing Board Schedule indicating the time and place during
which the Canvassing Board will meet to canvass the absentee electors' ballots and
provisional ballots for the November 2, 2021 Miami Beach General and Special Elections
and the November 16, 2021 Run-Off Election, if necessary. The Logic and Accuracy Test
and the meetings of the Canvassing Board to canvass the absentee electors ' ballots and
provisional ballots are open to the public and will be held at the Miami-Dade County
Department of Elections, located at 2700 NW 87 Avenue, Miami, FL. Please note that the
schedule is subject to change, if needed.
Additionally, I have included a copy of Chief Judge Nushin G. Sayfie's Administrative Order
21-2, designating County Court Judge Raul Cuervo as a Regular Member and County Court
Judge Lizzet Martinez as a substitute member of the City of Miami Beach Canvassing Board
for the November 2, 2021 General and Special Elections and the November 16, 2021 Run-
Off Election, if necessary.

The City of Miami Beach Canvassing Board will convene at the Office of the Supervisor of Elections , 2700 NW 87th
Avenue, Miami , Florida 33172 . The Canvassing Board is convening on these dates for the November 2, 2021 Miami Beach

ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
NO. 21-50
WHEREAS, on November 2, 2021, the City of Miami Beach, Florida will be conducting
its General Election for the purposes of electing a Mayor and three City Commissioners, as well
as its Special Election for the presentation of four (4) ballot questions; and
WHEREAS, in the event a Runoff Election is needed, the City will conduct said election
on November 16, 2021; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to State of Florida election laws, the City is required to designate a
Canvassing Board for these elections; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City of Miami Beach Code Sec. 38-8, the undersigned was
requested to make the following designations to serve on the Canvassing Board of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida for the November 2, 2021 General and Special Elections, and the
November 16, 2021 Runoff Election (if necessary): one (1) county court judge to serve as a
"regular member"; one (1) county court judge to serve as a "substitute member"; and
WHEREAS, the HONORABLE RAUL CUERVO is available to serve as the regular
member,
WHEREAS, the HONORABLE LIZZET MARTINEZ is available to serve as the
substitute member; and
WHEREAS, the Canvassing Board will convene on November 2, 2021, in connection
with the City of Miami Beach General and Special Elections, November 16, 2021 for the Runoff
Election (if necessary), and for all other meetings .convened by the Canvassing Board pertaining
to said elections;
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the authority vested in me as Chief Judge of the
Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida:
1. Judge Raul Cuervo is hereby designated to serve as the regular member and Judge
Lizzet Martinez is hereby designated to serve as the substitute member of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida Canvassing Board for the General Election and Special Election
scheduled for November 2, 2021, and the Runoff Election scheduled for November 16,
2021 (if necessary).
2. In their respective capacities, Judge Cuervo will attend all meetings convened for the
Canvassing Board and are hereby authorized to sign all documents pertaining to said
elections as required or as authorized by law.
3. In the event Judge Cuervo is unavailable to serve, Judge Martinez will serve in his
stead . ~
