The City of Miami Beach and Miami-Dade County are jointly hosting the 8th annual Film Florida
Conference, May 23-25, 1999. This will be the first time this conference has been held in the City
of Miami Beach.
This year's hosts would like to extend an invitation to the Mayor and City Commission to attend the
seminars and events taking place at this years conference.
The three day event begins on Sunday evening, May 23, 1999, with a Welcome Reception hosted
by the City of Miami Beach's Production Industry Council. The conference then proceeds to the
Miami Beach Convention Center on Monday and Tuesday, May 24 & 25, 1999.
This year's conference will offer an array of seminars that will provide real insight on Florida's
opportunities within the global entertainment industry, as well as, the opportunity to network with
a number of significant industry professionals. Guests and speakers will include leading
professionals from Florida's film, music, television, cable, media advertising and commercial
production industries.
Conference activities will also include special guest luncheons and a Gala Awards Banquet on the
evening of May 24, 1999.
A full schedule of seminars, speakers and events is being ~nalized. Copies will be forwarded to your
