A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, RETROACTIVELY APPROVING AND
AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION FROM THE VIDA &
ESTILO RESTAURANT GROUP, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $2,500.00, FOR
THE CITY'S 2021 HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH AWARDS RECEPTION,
AND FURTHER, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE,
TO APPROPRIATE SUCH SPONSORSHIP FUNDS AND DONATIONS TO
MAKE ANY NECESSARY REIMBURSEMENTS AND/OR EXPENDITURES IN
FURTHERANCE OF AND CONSISTENT WITH THE EVENT.
WHEREAS, Hispanic Heritage Month runs each year from September 15 through
October 15, and celebrates the long and important presence of Hispanic and Latino Americans
in North America; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach hosts events throughout the month promoting the
celebration of Hispanic culture in our City; and
WHEREAS, Hispanic Affairs Committee members worked diligently to identify funding
sources to off -set the costs of producing the activities, and secured a donation from the Vida &
Estilo Restaurant Group; and
WHEREAS, the Administration recommends that the Mayor and City Commission
retroactively approve the sponsorship, and accept the donation from the aforestated sponsor, in
the total amount of $2,500.00, to cover the costs of the 2021 Hispanic Heritage Month awards
reception; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration further recommends that Mayor and City Commission
authorize the City Manager, or her designee, to appropriate such a donation to make any
necessary expenditures and/or reimbursements in furtherance of and consistent with the
aforestated event and its purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby retroactively approve and authorize the acceptance of a donation from the
Vida & Estilo Restaurant Group, in the total amount of $2,500.00, for the City's 2021 Hispanic
Heritage Month awards reception, and further authorize the City Manager, or her designee, to
appropriate such sponsorship funds and donations to make any necessary reimbursements
and/or expenditures in furtherance of and consistent with the event.

On behalf of Vida & Estilo Restaurant Group, it is our pleasure to inform you that we are donating the
food and beverage service at no cost for the awards reception of Hispanic Heritage Month on Thursday,
October 7, 2021 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at Espanola Way. We are honored to participate and contribute
towards the City of Miami Beach goodwill to its citizens and the Hispanic community of Miami Beach. The
donation and in-kind value will consist of the following:
Guests: 100
Hors d'oeuvres: 3 pieces for each guest x 100 guests @ $10 per head = $1,000
Signature cocktails: 2 cocktails per guest x 100 guests @ $10 each = $1,000
(some sodas and water will be served for non -alcohol requests)
Labor:
Pre and post event set-up and service including ice, napkins and cups at outdoor setting (3 hours) = $500
Total in-kind value = $2,500
