SUBJECT: First Time Homebuyer Program Update
The purpose of this letter is to communicate the income eligibility and application approval of a
First Time Homebuyer Applicant for the purchase of a condominium unit located at 8305 Crespi
Boulevard, Unit 4A Miami Beach, FL 33141. The applicant resides with her two special needs
grandchildren and require a larger unit than they are currently renting .
The applicant is very-low income and eligible for both HOME and SHIP first time homebuyer
programs and will receive $140,000: $40,000 from FY 20/21 HOME Investment Partnership
Program and $100 ,000 from FY 19/20 SHIP funds. The applicant is also eligible for a first
mortgage that she will be able to pay with her current income .
The City is currently working with the lender, title company and Condominium association in
preparation of the closing scheduled for April 15, 2022 . The City will be able to meet its SHIP
expenditure deadline and the program's special needs set-aside with the approval of the
transaction .
Currently, the City has a waitlist of 78 applicants and will work with applicants on a first qualified,
first served basis.
