A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, 'AMENDING . RESOLUTION NO. 2022-32269,
WHICH ESTABLISHED THE "AD HOC IGUANA
REMEDIATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE," TO PROVIDE
FOR A QUORUM OF AT LEAST THREE (3) PEOPLE
PRIOR TO CONDUCTING OFFICIAL COMMITTEE
BUSINESS.
WHEREAS, on September 14, 2022, the Mayor and City Commission adopted
Resolution No. 2022-32269, establishing an Ad Hoc Iguana Remediation Advisory
Committee, for a term of six (6) months, to study actions other jurisdictions have taken
to address similar iguana invasions, in addition to contracting with an iguana mitigation
and removal program; and
WHEREAS, the Resolution provided for the purpose, composition, powers and
duties of the committee; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission wish to amend Resolution No.
2022-32269 to provide that minimum three (3) of the voting members are required to be
present at the meetings in order to constitute a quorum.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby amend Resolution No. 2022-32269, which established the "Ad Hoc
Iguana Remediation Advisory Committee," to provide for a quorum of at least three (3)
people prior to conducting official committee business.
