UPDATE ON CLUB HONEY CLOSURE

This Letter to the City Commission is to provide an update on the status of Club Honey
after its closure for underage drinking on March 14, 2004.
The Legal Department has advised that an Emergency Motion for Injunction (court order)
was signed by a judge on March 26, 2004. This motion requires Club Honey to pay all
monies owed to the City of Miami Beach by March 29, 2004. The injunction also states
that if a Lieutenant or above ranking officer makes a "good faith determination" that there is
a person under 21 in or on the premises, the club can be immediately closed down by the
police. This injunction is valid for ten days until a permanent closure hearing occurs.
