TRAFFIC MODIFICATION AT 20TH STREET AND NORTH BAY ROAD
Following Commission action at the March 4, 1998 Commission meeting, City staff has completed
the installation of the necessary pavement striping, planters and signage required for the
implementation of the left turn restriction at the above referenced intersection. This installation was
completed on March 11, 1998.
In reference to the traffic study for the area in question, the proposed scope of work has been
developed and a fee proposal received from the City's Municipal Mobility Plan consultants. The
traffic study is to be completed the week of April 27 and presented at the May 1998 Neighborhoods
Committee meeting.
Additionally, it should be noted, that Mr. Mark Friedman, of Mark's Cleaners has requested of City
staff a modification to the on-site installation, to allow for left turn movements onto his business
from eastbound 20th Street. As an initial step, City staff is consulting with Miami-Dade County
Public Works as to the possible inclusion of this modification. Should the Commission have any
objections to the implementation of such a modification, please advise me no later than Monday,
April 13th.
