SUBJECT: Monthly Donation Report -January 2023
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to provide the Mayor and Commission with a monthly
update on the donations accepted by the City of Miami Beach, under the City Manager's authority
as per Resolution 2022-32284. The resolution delegated to the City Manager the authority to
accept donations and sponsorships for the benefit of the City in the amount equal to or lesser
than $25,000.00, including in-kind donations, to the extent permitted by law; further, requiring
that the City Manager release a monthly report via Letter to Commission documenting the name
of each donor, the amount of each donation, the date each donation was made, and the public
purpose that would be served by accepting each donation.
During the month of January 2023, the administration accepted the following donations:
Item: Florida Fire Chief Association Winter Fire Games Competition

Description: The donated amount was to cover the costs associates with registration and hotel
rooms for the Miami Beach Fire Rescue Cadets to attend the FFCA Winter Fire Games
com petition.

Estimated Worth: $8,000.00

Description: This donation covered the costs associated with food bags as part of
