SUBJECT: Rabbi Weberman's Posthumous Recognition
This Letter to the Mayor and Commission is to advise you that there will be a
posthumous recognition for Rabbi Phineas Weberman on Thursday, March 2 at
2:00 p.m. in the Major James Smith Community Room at the Miami Beach Police
Depar tm ent (1100 Wash ington Aven ue, 1° Floor).
Rabbi W eberman began ride-a longs with the Miami Beach Police Department in 197 4
befo re it had a Champlain's program. As his involvement and love for the officers grew,
he eventually became one of the first Chaplains in our program. Currently, his two sons
are Chaplains for the MBPD.
