RESOLUTION 'NO. 94-21017
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE
EMPLOYMENT OF JOSE GARCIA PEDROSA,
ESQUIRE AS SPECIAL COUNSEL FOR THE
CITY'S PERSONNEL BOARD.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has heretofore found and determined that it is in the best
interest of the City to employ special counsel to confer with and
advise the City's Personnel Board and to attend the meetings of
- ' said Personnel Board as well as all hearings on appeals from
disciplinary action in order that the Personnel Board may at all
times have available the advice of said special counsel; and
WHEREAS, Harold Rosen, Esquire who has served as Special
Counsel to the Personnel Board since 1985 has ,resigned; and
WHEREAS, there is a public necessity for uninterrupted legal
counsel to the City's Personnel Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that Jose Garcia
Pedrosa, Esquire is hereby retained as Special Counsel for the
Personnel Board of the City, with the duties hereinbefore set
forth, at a compensation to be negotiated with the City Attorney
and reported back to the Mayor and City Commission for final
ratification. Said employment to commence immediately and to be
subject to termination at the will of either party.
