A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, WAIVING CITY'S PORTION OF THE BOUCHER BROTHERS
DISPLACEMENT FEE REQUIRED PER THE BOUCHER BROTHERS CONCESSION
AGREEMENT, AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO THE BOUCHER BROTHERS FOR
ITS PORTION OF THE DISPLACEMENT FEE, IN THE APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF
$7,102.08, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE 2023 WPL BEACH POLO EVENT IN THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH.
WHEREAS, the Beach Polo World Cup (the "Event"), which takes place in the City of
Miami Beach, is the largest and most notable Beach Polo event in the world.
WHEREAS, the Event will take place in the City from April 21, 2023 through April 23,
2023, and will features 8 international teams and over 120 horses; and
WHEREAS; the organizers of the Event are requesting for the City to waive its portion of
the Boucher Bothers displacement fee required per the Boucher Brothers Concession
Agreement, and reimburse the Boucher Brothers for its portion of the displacement fee in the
approximate amount of $7,102.08; and
WHEREAS, the Event organizers are not requesting any other waivers, and will be
paying the City's square footage fees, Police Department off -duty administrative fees, Fire
Department off -duty administrative fees, and any other fees associated with the Event; and
WHEREAS, the City has granted a similar waiver to the Event organizers for the 2021
and 2022 WPL Beach Polo Event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor -and City
Commission hereby waive the City's portion of the Boucher Brothers displacement fee required
per the Boucher Brothers Concession Agreement, and authorize payment to the Boucher
Brothers for its portion of the displacement fee, in the approximate amount of $7,102.08, for the
benefit of the 2023 WPL Beach Polo Event in the City of Miami Beach.
