GOnZale~z ~ City Manager or- 0 FLORIDA LEA UE OF CITIES - CITY MANAGER OF THE YEAR AWARD Subject: The purpose of this LTC is to share with you that the Florida League of Cities recently contacted me to inform me that I have been selected as one of four finalists for its first-ever City Manager of the Year Award. The City Manager of the Year Award was created to honor a city manager that displays exceptional excellence in the following areas: judgment, initiative, integrity, innovation, professionalism, commitment and citizen relations. This award is part of the Florida League of Cities efforts designed to focus public attention on all the good things cities do to improve the quality of life in Florida and honor outstanding city leaders for their innovative leadership skills. The other three finalists include: Lee Feldman, City Manager of Palm Bay in Brevard County; Bruce Haddock, City Manager of Oldsmar in Pinellas County; and Richard Kelton, City Manager of Palm Coast in Flagler County. The winner of this award and several other Florida League of Cities awards will be announced at a ceremony on June 26, 2004 in Orlando, Florida. Attached is a letter from Dottie Reeder, President of the Florida League of Cities and Mayor of Seminole, Florida, notifying me of my selection.
