FISCAL YEAR 98-99 UPCOMING BUDGET MEETINGS
On May 12, 1998, the Administration held a briefing for you on the Fiscal Year 98-99 Preliminary
General Fund Budget. At that time, a request was made for a subsequent meeting to discuss the
budgets of the Fire, Police, and Recreation/Culture and Parks (RCP) Departments in greater detail.
This briefing has been scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 1998, at 3:00 p.m., in the City Manager's
Large Conference Room. A presentation on the Fire Department's preliminary budget will begin at
3:00 p.m., followed by the Police Department at 4:00 p.m., and RCP at 5:30 p.m.. Every effort was
made to select a date on which all the members of the Commission could be present. Unfortunately,
we were not able to accomplish this due to scheduling conflicts, vacations, etc.
The annual Budget Advisory Committee (BAC) Citizen's Budget Forum has been scheduled for
Thursday, June 25, 1998, at 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., in the City Halt Commission Chambers.
The City Commission Budget Workshop has been scheduled for the July 1st Commission Meeting.
The workshop will start at the end of the aftemoon's Sutnick hour (approximately 6:00 p.m.).
