The meeting has been scheduled on Sunday, May 16 at 10:00 a.m. The attached notice is being sent to all merchants and property owners on the 400 Block (between Drexel & Washington) of Lincoln Road, and will be placed in the City's weekly meeting notice. Cuervo, Assistant City Manager Jose Damien, Asset Manager CITY OF MIAMI BEACH NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING PROPOSED EXPANSION OF LINCOLN ROAD GREEN MARKET CONCESSION AREA TO INCLUDE THAT PORTION OF LINCOLN ROAD BETWEEN WASHINGTON AND DREXEL AVENUES NOTICE IS HEREBY given that the City of Miami Beach, Florida, will hold a Public Meetiug on Sunday, May 16, 2004 at 10:00 a.m., in front of 420 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, Florida. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the proposed expansion of the Lincoln Road Green Market (aJk/a fanner's market) Concession Area to include that portion of Lincoln Road between Washington Avenue and Drexel Avenue. History: The Market Company, Inc. (the "Market Company'') has been operating a Green Market (a/k/afarmers market) in accordance with the terms of a Special Event Permitfor the past several years, on Lincoln Road between Lenox and Washington Avenues. In order to continue to provide the services and products in a ''farmer's market" scenario but allow for a competitive bid process, the City of Miami Beach (the "City '') issued a Request for Proposals for said services. Proposals were received and reviewed by an evaluation committee, and a recommendation was made by the City Administration to award the contract to the Market Company. Pursuant to said recommendation, the Mayor and City Commission approved a Concession Agreement with the Market Company for the operation of a Green Market on Lincoln Road, between Drexel Avenue and Lenox Avenue (but did not include that portion of Lincoln Road between Washington and Drexel Avenues). The intent of this Public Meeting is to obtain comments regarding the expansion ofthe Concession Area to include that portion of Lincoln Road, between Washington and Drexel Avenues, in order for the Market to continue to operate as it had been under the terms ofthe previously existing Special Event Permit(s). Members ofthe City Commission, as well as, members of other City Boards and Committees may be in attendance and participate in discussions. ALL INTERESTED PARTIES are invited.
