MEETING SCHEDULED WITH THE CHILDREN'S TRUST AND THE MIAMI
BEACH PROVIDER COMMUNITY

This memorandum will serve to inform you of a scheduled meeting with The Children's
Trust and the Miami Beach provider community.
A meeting has been scheduled for May 18, 2004, to be held in the Commission Chambers
from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to provide general information on
The Children's Trust and future funding opportunities for our local providers. Staff is
currently contacting all of the providers with the meeting information.
As you may recall, I worked very closely with the Trust to establish a specific funding
mechanism for our local providers. The funding must be used to provide quality services
that will improve the lives of children and families in our community.
