SUBJECT: Convention Center Hotel Project -Grand Hyatt Miami Beach
Water Main Installation -Traffic Pattern Impact
The purpose of this Letter to the Commission ("L TC") is to advise you that starting on Monday, January
8, 2024, through February 2, 2024, the site work contractor for the developer of the future Convention
Center hotel project will be mobilizing to complete final pending utility improvements.
Convention Center Drive between 17th and 18th Streets, and two (2) lanes on 17th Street between
Convention Center Drive and Pennsylvania Avenue, will be closed to vehicular traffic. Two lanes on
17th Street will remain open, one (1) lane for east bound traffic and one (1) lane for west bound traffic.

Convention Center Drive and 17th Street will be fully open prior to the Discover Boating Miami
International Boat Show, which is taking place February 14-18.
This work is required for the installation of a 20" watermain extension, which is part of the scope of work
of the Early Access Agreement with MB Mixed Use Investment, LLC. The contractor has an approved
MOT, and the work has been coordinated with Convention Center Operations.
