SUBJECT: Information Regarding the Presidential Preference Primary Election of March 19,
2024.
The Miami-Dade County Elections Department will conduct the Presidential Preference Primary Election
(PPP) on March 19, 2024.
For your information, and to help us spread the word to voters - this year, only the Republican Party will
hold a primary election to select their presidential nominee. The Florida Democratic Party provided one
candidate nominee, Joseph R. Biden , Jr. Therefore, the Florida Democratic Party nominee has been
selected and a PPP ballot for the Democratic Party will not be needed. This means, Countywi de, only
registered Republicans vote in this election. The exceptions to this are that all registered voters residing
in the municipalities of South Miami and Surfside are eligible to vote on their municipal ballot content on
March 19, 2024.
Early Voting for the Presidential Preference Primary is from Monday, March 4, 2024 through Sunday,
March 17, 2024. Attached are the Countyw ide Early Voting sites and schedules. During Early Voting,
Miami Beach voters may vote at any of the 23 Countyw ide Early Voting sites, including the two sites in
Miami Beach. The City of Miami Beach Early Voting sites are located at:

A Secure Ballot Intake Station ("Vote-by-Mail Drop Box") will be available and staffed at each Early Voting
