SUBJECT: Monthly Donation Report - February 2024
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to provide the Mayor and Commission with a monthly
update on the donations accepted by the City of Miami Beach, under the City Manager's authority
as per Resolution 2022-32149. The resolution delegated to the City Manager the authority to
accept donations for the benefit of the City in the amount of $25,000.00 or less, including in-kind
donations, to the extent permitted by law. It further requires that the City Manager release a
monthly report via Letter to Commission documenting the name of each donor, the amount of
each donation, the date each donation was made, and the public purpose that would be served
by accepting each donation.
During the month of February 2024, the administration accepted the following donations:
Spring Break Weekend Hotels
Item: 9 Hotel Room Nights for March 8-10, 2024
Name of Entity Donating: Loews Hotel Miami Beach
Estim ated Worth: $1,791.00 ($199 / night)
Donation Date: February 26, 2024
Description: This in-kind donation of accommodations was made so essential executive city staff
are readily available to provide seamless service and respond to emergencies during the first
critical high impact weekends for Spring Break 2024.
Item: 9 Hotel Room Nights for March 15 -17, 2024
Name of Entity Donating: Loews Hotel Miami Beach
Estimated Worth: $1,791.00 ($199 / night)
Donation Date: February 26, 2024
Description: This in-kind donation of accommodations was made so essential executive city staff
are readily available to provide seamless service and respond to emergencies during the second
critical high impact weekends for Spring Break 2024.
