SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2024-
044-ND for Engineering Design Services for Right of Way Improvements along
17th Street from Washington Ave. to Alton Road
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to update the Mayor and City
Commission on the status of RFQ No. 2024-044-ND. The RFQ seeks proposals from
professional engineering firms to provide design services for the right-of-way
improvements along 17th Street between Alton Road and Washington Avenue, including
complete design and construction documents and related services necessary.
The City received proposals pursuant to this RFQ on March 18, 2024. Responsive
proposals will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria
established in the RFQ.
I have appointed the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
•Ghassan Choueiry, Senior Transportation Engineer, Transp ortation Department
•David Gomez, Division Director, Office of Capital Improvement Projects
•Robin Jacobs, Chairwoman, Miami Beach Convention Center Advisory Board
•Amy Knowles, Chief Resilience Officer, Environment and Sustainability
