Motion passed: 5-1. (Michael Defilippi voted No) The Sustainability Committee urges the City Commission to work with the Miami Beach Police Department to address the sale of unregulated pouches of alcoholic drinks, with straws given that plastic straws are prohibited citywide and these materials pollute the beaches and unregulated products pose a safety hazard.
