This decision stems from ongoing debates regarding the total number of commercial slips allowed under the city lease and state master lease, coupled with concerns over the alleged issuance of over 150 BTRs to operators at the marina. Additionally, the MWPA's review process has revealed instances where new BTR applications for charters at the marina are leasing private, non-commercial slips and executing landing rights agreements, potentially circumventing commercial slip limits. We request the city's consideration in suspending BTRs for non-commercial slips that execute landing rights agreements until accurate counts of commercial slips and BTRs are established, and related agreements between the city and the Miami Beach Marina are clarified and enforced. The MWPA stands ready to dig into this issue with the City and the Miami Beach Marina to determine the counts, the limits, and work toward the resolution of this matter. toward the resolution of this matter. The MWPA sincerely thank you for your consideration. Respectfully, jn DocuSlgned by: .%r Dave Doebler MWPA Chairman
