99-23227 RESO RESOLUTION NO. 99-23227 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING MICHAEL JACCARINO AS A MEMBER OF THE PERSONNEL BOARD TO REPRESENT GROUP I EMPLOYEES. WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, a Certificate of the Clerk and Inspectors who conducted an election on June 28, 1999, for the purpose of electing a member of the Personnel Board Group I of the City employees to serve on the Personnel Board; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission have examined the Certificate and herein wish to accept the results of the election; and WHEREAS, there were a total of 32 votes cast; with 22 votes for Michael Jaccarino, with 9 votes for Barry Stamp, and 1 void ballot. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Certificate of the results of the Group I Personnel Board election are hereby accepted and that Michael Jaccarino, having received the highest number of votes cast, is found to be duly elected to represent Group I employees for a term to expire July 31, 2002. PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of July, 1999. Kasdin and Members of the City C ission DATE: July 7, 1999 FROM: Sergio Rodriguez City Manager SUBJECT: A RESOLU ION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING MICHAEL JACCARINO AS A MEMBER OF THE PERSONNEL BOARD TO REPRESENT GROUP I FIRE, POLICE AND BEACH PATROL EMPLOYEES. ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION Adopt the Resolution. BACKGROUND Pursuant to Ordinance No. 93-2868, an election was held to fill an expired term on the Personnel Board to represent Group I employees (Fire, Police and Beach Patrol). An election \vas held on June 28, 1999. The ballot contained two candidates. A total of 32 votes were cast as follows: 22 votes for Michael Jaccarino; 9 votes for Barry Stamp; and 1 void ballot. Michael Jaccarino received the highest number of votes and is duly elected to represent Group I employees on the Personnel Board for a term to expire on July 31. 2002.
