A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MVd\11 I
BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF TWO (2) USED 1990
CHEVROLET CAPRICE POLICE PURSUIT VEHICLES TO THE SOUTHEAST
FLORIDA INSTITUTE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE (S,F,I,C,J,)
WHEREAS, the City wishes to donate two (2) used 1990 Chevrolet Caprice Police Pu'su it
Vehicles with an estimated total value of $2,200, in their "as is" condition to the Southeast Floric a
Institute of Criminal Justice (S,F.I.C.J,); and
WHEREAS, no funds are required from the City for the donation of these vehicles;
and
WHEREAS, this donation is made in its "as is" condition and makes no representation
as to the condition of the vehicles, and no warranties, expressed or implied, and assumes no
further responsibility on behalf of the City,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CIT'{
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH FLORIDA:
Section 1, The City of Miami Beach herein donates two (2) used 1990 Chevrol.:t
Caprice Police Pursuit Vehicles to the Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice (S,F.I,C.J,
Section 2. The Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice (S,F,I.C.J,) agrec~ 0
receive the donation in its "as is" condition with no warranties, expressed or implied, and the Ci y
assumes no further responsibility for same,

BACKGROUND
The City is donating to the Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice (S,F,I.C,J.) two (2) (9)0
Chevrolet Caprice Police Pursuit Vehicles (Vehicle Numbers 0245-0 and 0256-0) in "A~; B"
condition. The City makes no representation as to the condition ofthe vehicle, any warranties wnetl.er
expressed or implied and assumes no responsibility, These vehicles are no longer being utilized )y
the City as they are deadlined and have been replaced,
The Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice (S.F,I.C.J,) intends to utilize these vehicles witl in
their Driver Training Program for Police Recruits and In-Service Training,
ANALYSIS
Vehicle # 0245-0 and # 0256-0 are deadlined and have been replaced with 1997 Ford Crown VictOI,a,
The estimated salvage value of each vehicle is $1,100,00,
