2004-25683 Reso "" RESOLUTION NO. 2004.,.25683 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN ALL CONTRACTS, AGREEMENTS, PURCHASE ORDERS, AND CHANGE ORDERS REQUIRED TO MAKE PREPARATIONS BEFORE AND CLEAN-UP EFFORTS AFTER STORMS DURING THE 2004 HURRICANE SEASON IN THE INTEREST OF THE HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE OF CITIZENS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH. WHEREAS, it is possible that during the 2004 hurricane season, the City of Miami Beach may be required to make preparations before, and clean-up efforts after, a storm in the interests of the health, safety and welfare of citizens and employees of the City, which will require emergency contracts, agreements, purchase orders, and change orders in excess of the $25,000 limitation of the authority of the City Manager; and WHEREAS, it is requested that the City Manager be authorized to proceed with the award of any such contracts, agreements, purchase orders, and change orders during the 2004 hurricane season; and WHEREAS, an official record of any such contracts, agreements, purchase orders, and change orders will be presented to the Mayor and City Commission for after-the-fact ratification. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Commission hereby authorize the City Manager to sign all required contracts, agreements, purchase orders, and change orders that may be required to make preparations before, and clean-up efforts after, storms during the 2004 hurricane season, in the interests of the health, safety and welfare of citizens and employees of the City of M' i Beach.
