Attached is an email from Constance A. Kaplan. If you have heard of any problems or unacceptable
conditions at any of the Miami Beach polling precincts please let Robert Parcher, City Clerk, know
immediately.
Ms. Kaplan also provided the following information:
1. Absentee ballots will not be mailed until Oct 10 or so because ballots will not be finalized
until all qualifying ends.
2. Polling places will be finalized by Oct 4. We are hoping to make as few changes as possible
and only where absolutely necessary.
3. Registration closes on Oct 4.
4. Early voting sites will be finalized by Oct 4.
5. All pollworkers will be required to attend training prior to working in November.

Dear Friends,
Although the August 31 election went very well, we are looking at making improvements in
our operation prior to the November 2 Presidential Election. I am requesting your help in
this area.
We will be using the same pollworkers and polling places on November 2 except where there
were complaints and/or unacceptable conditions. Therefore, if you received or have heard
of any complaints about poll workers or polling places please let me know as soon as
possible so that we may investigate. If any of your constituents had problems voting in
August please let me know so we can look into it.
