Subject: SWEARING OF CONGRESSIONAL REPRESENTATIVES
The purpose of this LTC is to inform the Mayor and members of the City Commission of
the time and place for the local swearing-in of Miami-Dade County's representatives to the
109th U.S. Congress. Attendance is confirmed for Representatives Ileana Ros-Lehtinen,
Lincoln Diaz-Balart, Mario Diaz-Balart, and Kendrick Meek. At this time, there is not yet
confirmation on whether Representatives Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Alcee Hastings and
Clay Shaw will also attend.
The Swearing-In will take place at the Justice Building in downtown Miami, 99 NE 4th
Street, on Monday, January 3rd at 10:00 a.m, and will be followed by refreshments. A photo
I.D. will be required for admittance.
