The 64th Annual Boat Show will be held February 17, 2005 through February 21,2005. As
part of our effort to ensure ongoing communication with the businesses, residents and
visitors, attached please find the information that will distributed.
Enhanced staffing plans have been approved for this weekend and "Park and Ride"
shuttles will be provided as described in the attached notices.

Miami International Boat Show Sets Anchor in Miami Beach
Celebrating its 64th anniversary, this year's show will feature the latest powerboats, engines, electronics, and
accessories from more than 2,300 exhibitors on more than 2.5 million square feet of exhibition space. The
Miami International Boat and Sailboat Show is the greatest boat show in the world. The show will be open
from February 17 through 21, 2005. Show hours are Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Friday -
Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Additionally, the Yacht
Brokerage Show is held on Indian Creek Waterway (February 17 - 21).
The Boat Show adds increased traffic and parking demands and the City appreciates the public's patience
during this period. The Show will host a series of sunset events and many special activities throughout the
show hours to attract and entertain visitors. For up to date information, visit their website at

Due to increased traffic and parking availability, the City of Miami Beach Parking Department offers a park and
ride program. Flat parking rates will vary between $2 and $10 contingent upon proximity to the event.
Pedestrian hotel guests ride for free including Electrowave shuttle. The shuttle will include round-trip shuttle
service for each passenger to and from the Convention Center at the following garages/lots:

Buses will run continuously one hour prior to Boat Show opening each morning until one hour after closing
each night. In addition, a continuous shuttle runs between other show locations.
The Boat Show's economic impact far surpasses that of other boat shows held in Florida. Miami has a solid
reputation as the marine industry's premier event and a long history of attracting serious buyers from around
the world. In 2003, the Boat Show generated over $600 million in sales and an economic impact on the City's
business community of over $13 million. These increased revenues are very important to the City's continued
financial health.
