A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA ADOPTING THE
CERTIFICATES OF THE RESULTS OF THE
NOVEMBER 7, 1995 GENERAL ELECTION
FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
ADJOURNING THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
CANVASSING BOARD FOR THE NOVEMBER 7,
1995 GENERAL ELECTION, AND DECLARING
CANDIDATES ELECTED.
WHEREAS, on September 13, 1995, the City Manager (or his
designee), Commissioner Sy Eisenberg and Commissioner Nancy Liebman
were designated by the Miami Beach City Commission to act as its
Canvassing Board representatives regarding the conduct of the
November 7, 1995 General Election for the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager (or his designee), Commissioner
Eisenberg and Commissioner Liebman acted as the Commission
representatives/Canvassing Board for the November 7, 1995 General
Election; and
WHEREAS, the candidates for Mayor and City Commissioner
of the City of Miami Beach (Groups V and VI) in the November 7,
1995 General Election have received the number of votes cast as
reflected more specifically within the Certifications of Election
attached hereto as Composite Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that having
canvassed the returns of the November 7, 1995 General Election of
the City of Miami Beach, it hereby adopts the certificates as to
the results of said General Election and it is hereby ordered that
the Certificates of Election and this Resolution be recorded in the
minutes of the meeting as a permanent record of the results of said
election; be it further resolved that by adoption of this
Resolution the City-Commission appointed committee acting as
Canvassing Board for the City of Miami Beach composed of the City
Manager
(or his designee),
Commissioner Sy Eisenberg and
Commissioner Nancy Liebman has discharged its duties for the
November 7, 1995 City of Miami Beach General Election and said
committee is hereby adjourned; and be it further resolved that as
a result of the November 7, 1995 City of Miami Beach General
Election* the following candidates for Mayor and City Commissioner
Groups V and VI are hereby declared elected:

Assistant City Manager Mayra Diaz-Buttacavoli, City Manager's
designee; acting as designees of the Miami Beach City Commission
and serving as the city of Miami Beach canvassing Board, do hereby
certify that we have made an examination of the returns of the
General Election held in Miami Beach, Florida, on November 7, 1995,
as conducted by the Clerks and Inspectors who were duly appointed
by the Metropolitan Dade County Supervisor of Elections; and as
reflected by certification received from the Supervisor of
Elections of Dade County, Florida; such examination having been
made solely, exclusively and entirely from such returns and
certification; and DO HEREBY CERTIFY that as a result of said
examination we have found and DO HEREBY DECLARE the results of said
election to be as follows:

Attached hereto is a Resolution) adopting the Certificates of the Results of the November 7,
1995 Miami Beach General Election for the City of Miami Beach, adjourning the City of Miami
Beach Canvassing Board for the November 7, 1995 General Election, and declaring candidates
elected. The passage of this Resolution effectively concludes acceptance of election returns for the
City of Miami Beach's November 7, 1995 General Election.
