A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING
THE CERTIFICATE OF THE RESULTS OF THE NOVEMBER
2, 1993 MIAMI BEACH GENERAL ELECTION FOR THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, ADJOURNING THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH CANVASSING BOARD FOR THE NOVEMBER
2, 1993 GENERAL ELECTION, AND DECLARING
CANDIDATE ELECTED.
WHEREAS, on October 6, 1993, the City Clerk, City Manager
and City Attorney were designated by the Miami Beach City
commission to act as its Canvassing Board representatives regarding
the conduct of the November 2, 1993 General Election for the City
of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk, City Manager and City Attorney
acted as the Commission representatives and were present at the
tabulation of the returns of the General Election as duly conducted
by the Elections Department of Metropolitan Dade County; and
WHEREAS, the results of the November 2, 1993 General
Election have been certified; and
WHEREAS, the candidates for ~ity commissioner of the city
of Miami Beach, Group III, have received the number of votes cast
as reflected more specifically within the Certification of
Elections attached hereto as Composite Exhibit "A" and incorporated
herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that having
canvassed the returns of the November 2, 1993 General Election of
the City of Miami Beach, it hereby adopts the certificate as to the
results of said General Election and it is hereby ordered that the
Certificate of Elections and this Resolution be recorded in the
minutes of the meeting as a permanent record of the results of said
election; be it further resolved that by adoption of this
Resolution the City-Commission appointed committee acting as
Canvassing Board for the City -of Miami Beach composed of the City
Clerk, City Manager and City Attorney has discharged its duties for
the November 2, 1993 City of Miami Beach General Election and said
committee is hereby adjourned; and be it further resolved that as
a result of the November 2, 1993 City of Miami Beach General

is hereby declared elected:

We, the City Clerk, City Manager and the City Attorney of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, acting as designees of the Miami Beach City Commission and
serving as the City of Miami Beach Canvassing Board, do hereby certify that we
have made an examination of the returns of the General Election held in Miami
Beach, Florida, on November 2, 1993, as conducted by the Clerks and Inspectors
who were duly appointed by the Metropolitan Dade County Supervisor of Elections;
and as reflected by certification received from the Supervisor of Elections of
Dade County, Florida; such examination having been made solely, exclusively and
entirely from such returns and certification; and DO HEREBY CERTIFY that as a
result of said examination we have found and DO HEREBY DECLARE the results of
said election to be as follows:
