AT OUR NEIGHBORHOOD PARK CELEBRATIONS
The Administration invites you to join us for the Lummus Park Groundbreaking and the Grand Re-
Opening Ceremonies for Island View and Fisher Parks as part of the City' s Parks Bond Improvement
Program. The community and the Parks and Recreation Department will host an afternoon of
festivities and ribbon cutting ceremonies based on the following schedule:
Island View Park
18th Street & Purdy Avenue
October 261h, 5:30 P.M.
Lummus Park
7th Street & Ocean Drive
October 271h, 1 I:00 A.M.
Fisher Park
50th Street & Alton Road
October 271h, 5:30 P.M.
Recreation Division staff will provide interactive games for the children, refreshments ~vill be
served, music will fill the air and opening day mementos will be given away. Additionally, display
tables providing information regarding other Bond improvements in our parks, and information on
City programs will be available at each location. The ribbon cutting ceremonies will be held
promptly at 5:30 P.M. at Island View and Fisher Parks and the Lummus Park Groundbreaking ~vill
be begin promptly at 11:00 A.M.
Please bring your family and friends and join us for a good old fashioned neighborhood day in the
park and Come Out And Play With Us.t
