This Letter to the City Commission is to advise the Mayor and Commissioners that Captain
Richie Pelosi has graduated from the ten-week residential Northwestern University Police
Staff and Command School.
The Executive Development Program prepares middle-management executives to become
more effective leaders and change agents in their organizations. The program shows
individuals how to compete and succeed using strategic thinking to establish appropriate
goals and develop the leadership skills to get results. It provides an intensive analysis of
each of the functional areas of business and challenges students with fresh ideas,
enabling them to build greater perspective and learn a wide range of best practices
solutions.
Captain Pelosi is a twenty-three year veteran of the Miami Beach Police Department and
currently commands the Patrol Division, South District.
Please join me in congratulating Captain Pelosi on his graduation from the Northwestern
Police Staff and Command School and we all wish him continued success.
