Subject: UHappy Birthday iami Beach" Is Theme of Playground Revue 2005
The Parks & Recreation Department's Playground Revue takes a bow to the City by
dedicating its 62nd annual program in celebration of Miami Beach's 90th birthday. This
year's performances are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, at the
Jackie Gleason Theater of the Performing Arts.
Adding to the fun will be celebrity emcees from Fox TV Channel 7. News anchor Craig
Stevens will open the evening show. The afternoon celebrity emcee is yet to be
determined. And Channel 7 will send a special pre-recorded "Happy Birthday Miami
Beach" greeting from many of its regular news staffers.
The Playground Revue is the highlight of each summer camp season. Kindergarten
through 1 ih graders act out song and dance routines to full audiences of proud parents,
relatives and guests.
