At the November 2, 1999 General and Special Elections it was discovered that the Miami-
Dade County Elections Department did not have twenty-six (26) registered voter who live
on Fisher Island properly coded to vote in City of Miami Beach elections. The twenty-six
(26) registered voters have addresses between 7201 and 7299 Fisher Island Drive. Exhibit
"A" is an aerial photograph of the building, exhibit "B" is a list of the names and addresses
of the of the twenty-six (26) registered voters which was provided by the Miami-Dade
County Elections Department.
The building was built in 1991. Since the building was built, the registered voters in this
building have never voted in a City of Miami Beach election.
Upon confirming that these individuals should be coded to vote in City of Miami Beach
elections, the Miami-Dade County Elections Department immediately created a new voting
precinct 47 - South Pointe Park, 1 W ashington Ave. The individuals were sent a new voter
registration card indicating the voting precinct and voting location. They have been properly
coded to vote in the November 9, 1999 Run-off Election.
In addition, each candidate in the runoff election scheduled for November 9, 1999 was given
a copy of the list.
