RESOLUTION NO. 99-23434
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE
OCEAN DRIVE ASSOCIATION'S REQUEST FOR FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE, UP TO THE AMOUNT OF $25,000, FOR
FIREWORKS DISPLAY ON SOUTH BEACH, FOR THE
MILLENNIUM NEW YEAR'S EVE EVENT ON DECEMBER 31,
1999.
WHEREAS, the Ocean Drive Association (ODA) is an organization which, among its other
functions, promotes tourism for the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the ODA has requested financial assistance for the fireworks display on South Beach
for the Millennium New Year's Eve event on December 31, 1999; and
WHEREAS, up to the amount of $25,000 was approved by the Mayor and City Commission at
its December 15, 1999 meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, approve the Ocean Drive Association's request
for financial assistance, up to the amount of $25,000, for fireworks display on South Beach, for the
Millennium New Year Eve's event on December 31,1999.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 15 th DAY OF December
