A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 93-
20714, WHICH ESTABLISHED A BANK ACCOUNT HELD JOINTLY BY
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH (ALSO KNOWN IN SAID RESOLUTION AS
"MIAMI BEACH HOUSING AUTHORITY") AT BARNETT BANK OF
SOUTH FLORIDA, N.A., ENTITLED "CITY OF MIAMI BEACH/MIAMI
BEACH HOUSING AUTHORITY BENEFIT FUND"; PROVIDING FOR THE
SUBSTITUTION OF PARTIES AUTHORIZED TO SIGN VOUCHERS ON
SAID ACCOUNT; AND RESCINDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 93-20840, NO.
94-21104 AND NO. 98-22908.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 93-20714 established a bank account with the Housing
Authority of the City of Miami Beach (also known in said Resolution as: "Miami Beach Housing.
Authority") entitled "City of Miami BeachlMiami Beach Housing Authority Benefit Fund Account;"
and
WHEREAS, said Resolution was subsequently amended by Resolutions No. 93-20840, No.
94-21104 and No. 98-22908, which provided for the substitution of persons within the City
Administration and the Housing Authority of the City of Miami Beach authorized to sign vouchers
on said account; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission wish to designate new signators, due to
changes in the City Administration staff, who may execute vouchers in order to draw upon funds for
the benefit of the City and the Housing Authority, which requires that Resolution No. 93-20714 be
amended, and that Resolutions No. 93-20840, No. 94-21104 and No. 98-22908 be rescinded.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that:
Section 1.
Resolution No. 93-20714 is hereby amended, replacing the names of the signators for
the City of Miami Beach and the Housing Authority of the City of Miami Beach, and
substituting the following:

ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the Resolution.
ANAL YSIS
Due to changes in the City Administration staff, the bank account held jointly by the City and the
Housing Authority of the City of Miami Beach (Housing Authority) is being updated to change the
authorized signators. This account is used to facilitate the reimbursement of City expenditures by
the Housing Authority for activities performed under a Letter of Understanding between the City and
the Housing Authority. Under the Letter of Understanding entitled "Joint Program for Housing
Assistance-Related Community Development Enhancement", the City provides enhanced police
protection, child care and recreation services to persons receiving housing assistance. The Housing
Authority reimburses the City for the services.
The proposed change in signators is necessary to properly reflect the individuals currently authorized
to sign vouchers on this account. The change in signators is to be effective December 18, 1999.
The Administration recommends that the Mayor and City Commission adopt this Resolution,
amending Resolution No. 93-20714, which established a bank account held jointly by the City of
Miami Beach and the Housing Authority ofthe City of Miami Beach (also known in said Resolution
as "Miami Beach Housing Authority") at Barnett Bank of South Florida, N.A., entitled "City of
