A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF TWO (2) USED 1993
FORD CROWN VICTORIA POLICE PURSUIT VEHICLES TO THE SOUTHEAST
FLORIDA INSTITUTE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE (S.F.I.C.J.).
WHEREAS, the City wishes to donate two (2) used 1993 Ford Crown Victoria Police
Pursuit Vehicles with an estimated total value of $2,200.00, in their "as is" condition to the
Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice (S.F.I.C.J.); and
WHEREAS, no funds are required from the City for the donation of these vehicles; and
WHEREAS, this donation is made in its "as is" condition and the city makes no
representation as to the condition of the vehicles, and no warranties, expressed or implied, and
assumes no responsibility for said vehicles.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT nUL Y RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE
CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City of Miami Beach herein donates two (2) used 1993 Ford Crown
Victoria Police Pursuit Vehicles to the Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice (S.F.I.C.J.)
Section 2. The Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice (S.F.I.C.J.) agrees to
receive the donation in its "as is" condition with no warranties, expressed or implied, and agrees
that the City assumes no further responsibility for same.

A Resolution of the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, authorizing the donation of Two (2) 1993 Ford Crown Victoria Police
Pursuit Vehicles (Vehicle Numbers 0136-3 and 0140-3) in their "as is" condition
to the Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice (S.F.I.C.J.).

ANALYSIS
The City is donating to the Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice (S.F.I.C.J.) two (2) 1993
Ford Crown Victoria Police Pursuit Vehicles (Vehicles # 0136-3 and 0140-3) in their "as is" condition.
The City makes no representation as to the condition of the vehicles, no warranties whether expressed
or implied, and assumes no responsibility.
The Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice (S.F.I.C.J.) intends to use these vehicles in their
Driver Training Program for Police Recruits, with the City of Miami Beach Citizens Police Academy,
and with In-Service Training. In 1997, the City Commission approved the donation of two (2) Police
Pursuit Vehicles to the Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal Justice (S.F.I.C.J.).
Vehicles 0136-3 and 0140-3 are deadlined and have been replaced with 1999 Ford Crown Victorias.
The estimated salvage value of each vehicle is $1,100.
The City Commission should authorize the donation to the Southeast Florida Institute of Criminal
Justice (S.F.I.C.J.).
