In an effort to bring the community more news and information about Miami Beach, the City
of Miami Beach has launched MB magazine, a new bi-monthly, bi-lingual publication for
residents. Attached, please find a copy of ourpremiere issue.
As you know, the City conducted a community survey earlier this year which indicated that
38 percent of the community felt that the amount of information received from the City was
too little. MB is one of several enhancements being made to improve communications with
the community about City services, facilities and programs available.
The December/January edition of MB magazine, along with the winter issue of Recreation
Review, will be mailed to all residents in early December. The premiere issue includes the
results of the community surveys and how they shaped the City's strategic plan; the latest on
a Planned Progress project and the cultural arts scene; tips on micro gardening and how to
stay fit in 2006; the value of being a resident; and much more. Future editions will, among
other things, provide updates on our capital program, highlight new and existing services
and inform our residents about city codes and processes.
MB is published by the City's Office of Communications, Community feedback on the
