MIAMI BEACH YEAR 2000 STATISTICAL ABSTRACT
Attached. please find the new Miami Beach Statistical Abstract for the Year 2000 which has been
prepared by the Community/Economic Development Department. The Abstract is produced by the
department each year, and is one of the City's most important business recruitment and retention
tools. It is available for download on the City's website, and is also distributed to many financial.
real estate and media organizations.
The Abstract provides a statistical overview of Miami Beach. covering subjects such as the
economy, education, residential demographics, employment, tourism, entertainment, and real estate.
This year's Abstract not only includes more statistical information on tourism and the entertainment
industry than in the past, it also includes more targeted narrative. This year the Abstract has also been
expanded to include brief profiles of some of the major residential. commercial. and hotel projects
under development in the City.
