Quality of Life Community Outreach Meetings May 22-24, 2006

The purpose ofthis LTC is to inform you of the upcoming Quality of Life Community Outreach
Meetings, which will take place May 22-24, 2006.
Each year, the City of Miami Beach sets aside resort tax revenues to spend on tourism-
related projects that will improve the community's quality of life. Over the next two years, the
North, Mid and South Beach neighborhoods are each allocated an estimated $1.4 million
from these resort tax revenues.
As discussed at the May 25, 2005 Finance and Citywide Projects Committee meeting, the
Administration will be facilitating community outreach meetings in North, Mid and South
Beach to give stakeholders the opportunity to give input and help prioritize these projects,
which include potential park improvements, neighborhood improvements, alley improvements
as well as traffic and transportation improvements.
City Departments will be presenting a range of project options at these community meetings,
which will be held at 6:30 pm at the following locations:
South Beach
Monday, May 22nd

North Beach
Tuesday, May 23rd
North Shore Youth Center
501 72nd St
Middle Beach
Wednesday, May 24th
21st St Community Center,
2100 Washington Avenue
