City Manager Selection Committee
On Tuesday, April 18th, the City Manager Selection Committee met to review the list of applicants
submitted by DMG Maximus. The information and materials were forwarded to each of you via
L.T.C. No. 82-2000 (see attachment #1). Now that arrangements and accommodations have been
finalized, and at the request of the City Manager Selection Committee, Michael Aller has
coordinated: 1) The securing of hotel accommodations for the candidates and their significant other;
2) Arranged a bus tour of the City which Michael Aller and George Neary will narrate; and 3)
Arranged a "Meet and Greet" the City Manager candidates to Miami Beach reception. In addition,
Michael has sent press kits to DMG Maximus from the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors
Bureau, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce, the
Beacon Council, and the City of Miami Beach for distribution to the candidates.
Accommodations:
Hotel Accommodations have been made at the Radisson Deauville Resort Miami Beach, the
National Hotel Miami Beach, and the Park Central Hotel. Hotel rates are $75 per room.
Bus Tour:
Michael Aller and George Neary will welcome the candidates and take them on a tour of Miami
Beach. The bus tour will be held on Wednesday, May 31.
Reception:
A "Meet and Greet" reception is scheduled for Wednesday, May 31 between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
at the Eden Roc Resort and Spa. The reception will include complementary open bar and hors
d' oeuvres. The Mayor and City Commissioners, members of the City Manager Selection
Committee, an invitation for two persons from each of the civic organizations (see attachment #2),
the City Manager and Assistant City Managers, City Attorney, and members of the local press (see
attachment #3) will be invited.

SUBJECT: City Manager Selection Committee
On Tuesday, April 18th, the City Manager Selection Committee met to review the list of applicants
submitted by DMG Maximus. According to DMG Maximus records there were a total of 61
resumes submitted. The number of minority applicants (estimated) were 8 or 13%. Of the 61
resumes submitted, DMG Maximus submitted to the Selection Committee what they thought were
the top eleven (11) candidates. The Selection Committee reviewed the resumes of the top eleven
(11) candidates and with all members of the Selection Committee present, narrowed the list to seven
(7).
The individuals designated with an asterisk on the attached list are the seven (7) candidates
recommended by the Selection Committee to continue in the process. DMG Maximus will be
performing further background checks on each of the seven (7) candidates.
Unless a concern is discovered the seven (7) individuals will be scheduled for interviews which will
be held on June 1, and June 2 if necessary.
