SUBJECT: LINCOLN CINEMA PARKING GARAGE
We have received a number of complaints from residents of the City concerning an unfortunate
experience which several of them have apparently shared at the Lincoln Cinema parking lot during
the weekend of the Boat Show. This is not a garage that is owned by the City or the Miami Beach
Redevelopment Agency. In one case a resident who thought that he had a three-hour parking
validation for $1.50 was charged $10 as a Boat Show rate and another citizen has recently
complained, alleging that he was charged $20 for parking at the Regal Cinema.
Please be advised that we are responding to all of these complaints and that we are forwarding them
to the Cinema Project owner's attorney, the City's liaison at Quik Park as well as to Chief Barreto
for an investigation of the matter.
