SUBJECT: COMMISSION REQUESTS AND DIRECTIONS TO
THE ADMINISTRATION
It has come to my attention that requests for action on certain items and inquiries are being made
directly to Department and Division heads. Several instances of this have recently been
inadvertently brought to my attention.
In order to assure that Department and Division heads, as well as Assistant City Managers and
Executive Assistants are not given conflicting tasks and priorities, I would ask that all requests for
information from the Administration, and all requests for action by the Administration, be directed
by memorandum or "cc:Mail" to my office. This will assure that directives are being given to the
appropriate staff and that all Commission requests are properly followed up and accounted for by
my office.
