RESOLUTION NO. 2000-23974
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF A SURPLUS BICYCLE,
VALUED AT APPROXIMATELY $245.00, FROM THE MIAMI BEACH POLICE
DEPARTMENT TO MIAMI BEACH SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL FOR USE BY THE
SCHOOL RESOURCES OFFICER.
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Police Department has a surplus police bicycle that is no
longer in service; and
WHEREAS, the surplus police bicycle more than five years old, is described as a Giant
brand, Model number 16, serial number 6J49422I, with an approximate surplus value of $245.00;
and
WHEREAS, the Miami Beach Police Department wishes to donate this surplus bicycle to
Miami Beach High Senior School for use by the School Resource Officer.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission herein authorize donation of a surplus bicycle, valued at approximately $245.00, from
the Miami Beach Police Department to Miami Beach High School for use by the School Resources
Officer.

Adopt the Resolution.
ANALYSIS
The Miami Beach Police Department has a surplus police bicycle, a Giant brand Number 16, Serial
Number 6J494221, with an approximate surplus value of$245. The Police Department requests to
donate this surplus bicycle to the Miami Beach High School for use by the High School's Resource
Officer.
The surplus bicycle is more than five years old and was taken out of service by the Police
Department.
It is recommended that the Mayor and City Commission adopt this Resolution and authorize the
donation oft-surplUS bicycle to the Miami Beach High School.
