Subject: South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce 12tl1 Annual Sunshine Awards
The purpose of this LTC is to inform you that the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce at its 12tl1 Annual Sunshine Awards honored the City's Procurement Division
as the Governmental Agency of the Year.
The Governmental Agency of the Year award "recognizes the outreach initiatives to
minority firms through leadership, vision and desire to have a broader participation of
firms in the bidding process for governmental contracts."
It is also noteworthy that Miami Beach resident and Planning Board Chairman, Mr. Victor
Diaz Jr., received the Lifetime Achievement Award "in recognition of his extraordinary
work in support of the Hispanic community and for his dedication and devotion to helping
others. "
