On Saturday, January 20tb, Flamingo Park hosted the Recreation Expo to kick off the upcoming athletics season. Registration hit an all time high as 351 participants signed up for various sports. Over 1,500 enjoyed the Expo that included various activities such as: bounce houses and rides, carnival games, a stilt walker, face painting, a train ride and live entertainment provided by the Miami Beach Senior Rock Ensemble. Upcoming In February... On Friday, February 2"", the North Shore Park Youth Center will be hosting their Movie in the Park event. There will be fun games and rides for the community starting at 6:00 p.m. and the movie will begin at 8:00 p.m. Come join us for an evening filled with food, fun, and plenty of laughter. Movie showing: Open Season. On Friday, February gtb, North Shore Park Youth Center will be hosting a Sweetheart's Dance for after school program members from 6- 9 p.m. Also that same day, Flamingo Park will host Cupid's Carnival filled with free entertainment, arts& crafts, carnival rides and fun for the whole family. The event will be at the park track. On Saturday, February 10tb, The Margaret M.Swett Social Club will hold its annual Valentine's Dance at the North Shore Park Youth Center. On Friday, February 23"', the North Shore Park Youth Center will host their Black History" Awareness Night" from 7- 8:30 p.m. Come and experience the food, art exhibits, dance & other fun activities. On Saturday, February 24tb, Flamingo Park will host a Mardi Gras Parade on Skates at the Flamingo Park Track from 5-8 p.m. Earn beads as you skate around the 400 meter track.
