In response to ~e inqui~ raised at ~e July 12, 2000 Comission meeting concerning ~e nming
of~e B~ Kum Boat R~p d~ng ~e S~set H~bo~ discussion, ~e follo~ng is from o~ Ci~
Code, Section 82-504 (4):
(4) Except ~ o~e~ise provided by law or conUact, ~y nine designation
established ~er July 3, 1996, shall automatically s~set ten ye~s from its
designation date. Wi~n the l~t ye~ of~e nine designation, ~e ci~ comission
may e~end ~e designation for one addition~ period of up to ten ye~s, ~e extemion
to automaticily s~set at ~e expiration of s~d extension period. ~e Bass Musem
of An shall be exempt from ~e nine designation s~set provisions of ~s
subsection.
Anything nmed before ~at date, such as ~e B~ Kut~ Boat ip, wMch was approved by
