SUBJECT: Normandy Pool Open starting Friday, March 30, 2007
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to inform you that the pool portion of the
Normandy Park and Pool Project will be open as of tomorrow, Friday, March 30, 2007, just in
time for the children of our community to enjoy during their Spring Break.
The pool area contains an adult lap pool and the children's water playground pool, multi-
purpose recreation center, locker rooms and restrooms. The other portions of the Normandy
Park and Pool Project will re-open shortly as well, and will include a soccer field, multi-
purpose courts, shade pavilions and a new playground. New lighting and a decorative iron
fence add to the functionality and safety of this recreational facility.
The CIP Office will have their inspectors distribute flyers to door-to-door this evening to
Normandy Isles, Normandy Sud, and Normandy Shores as well as to the City's youth
centers announcing the opening. Additionally, interested parties who have signed up
through the City's L1STSERV program to receive email notification on project status in the
North Beach area, or by specific project will also be notified. The press release will also be
posted on the City's website by the end of today.
